Mod Motor
In
the mid 90’s, Ford came out with a new engine series
referred to as the “mod motor”. These highly
efficient engines are installed in nearly all V8 applications
since 1994 and are as rock solid as you could ever ask for.
They come in several configurations including a V10. they
come in sizes of 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.1L. There are several
motors with blowers pushing 1200HP without even removing
the oil pan. These engines routinely see 400,000 miles in
patrol cars before being auctioned, and they’re still
running great! At RBI, we’ve installed a bunch of
these motors and are becoming experts at the process. With
fuel injection and electronic overdrive transmissions, these
are the perfect balance of power and economy. A great number
of these engines have been produced over the past 15 years
and are now readily available. Cab drivers love these so
much, that there is a bit of demand, but part availability
rivals the old standard Chevy small block. If your at all
